LUkraine asbl is happy to announce the second convoy of fire trucks and ambulances departed Luxembourg for Ukraine.
This convoy includes six cars – 5 fire trucks and one ambulance with a total price of EUR 210 000. One of these fire trucks was graciously donated by Dudelange commune, and the rest were purchased with donations through the ‘Ukraine is calling’ platform. These cars aim to reach rescue squads of the State Emergency Services of Ukraine in the Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Sumy regions. As of the date of convoy departure, LUkraine asbl has already delivered 22 resume vehicles in total.
“We search for these cars all around Europe. We even bought a fire truck ladder in Norway, which our volunteer Anders gladly agreed to bring to Luxembourg to send to Ukraine today. Mostly we buy cars in neighboring countries, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. Ukrainian rescuers help us to understand which particular vehicles are missing, and we do our best to find those and send them to the destinations that most need them.” Ievgenii Smoliak, logistic coordinator at LUkraine asbl, shares.
Like the previous one, LUkraine asbl volunteers and Ukrainian firefighters deliver a second convoy to Ukraine.
On behalf of the Ukrainians, LUkraine expresses its deepest gratitude to the Luxembourgish government and the citizens of Luxembourg for their generous contribution to the project and unconditional support in Ukraine’s resistance against Russia.
