As was announced earlier, the first convoy of 16 rescue cars arrived in Ukraine at the beginning of December. We are pleased to report that the first 3 ambulances and 2 fire trucks were delivered to Kharkiv and now are ready to save people’s lives.
Kharkiv has been under attack from the first minutes of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Being located at a dangerously close distance of 81 km from Russian Belgorod, Kharkiv became one of the main targets of Russian troops.
Oleksandr Volobuyev, Head of Ukrainian Emergency Services of the Kharkiv region, says “This modern technology will help us perform our job faster. During the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, our equipment and fire stations were significantly damaged, especially in the de-occupied territories. That’s why we need these vehicles.”
“These ambulances completely meet all the required standards. Indeed, thanks to the Ministry of Health, the Kharkiv administration, and volunteers, our region remains equipped with cars. After all, as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation, many of our cars were damaged, and the car fleet constantly needs to be updated”, explains Victor Zabashta, Director of Medical Emergency Service.
